The HSN came together in 1988 as a loosely organized group of passionate providers of human services in Northern Nevada. Seeing an increase in the number of agencies and providers, leaders in the region felt the need to create a common space where organizations could collaborate, network, share information, and celebrate the successes and the people making positive changes. Thus, the HSN was established.

The Vision of the HSN is…

A deeply connected network of inspired and informed human service providers actively engaged in positive change-making.

The Mission of the HSN is…

To empower the human services community through connection, education, and advocacy.
